  • A six-man Gujarat ATS team came to Navsari district and took the photos and details of the three missing fishermen who were onboard the fishing trawler, Kuber, which was hijacked by the terrorists, who carried the Mumbai attack.

The team, comprising a police inspector, went to Borsi village in Navsari district. The officers met the family members of three fishermen Mukesh Rathod (20), Natvar Rathod (34), both residents of Borsi village, and Balvant Tandel (34), from the neighbouring Vasi village. The ATS officers also took details of their bank accounts. The family members of the fishermen said they had last spoken to them on November 22, and heard no news from them thereafter.

Later, the team met Dewa Tandel, a fisherman from Krishnapur village in Navsari district, who had intimated the Gujarat and Maharashtra government about suspicious activities on the high seas, through one of his friend Damodar Tandel, the president of the Maharashtra Manchi Mandal.
