A Gujarat Police officer said: “They don’t tell us their line of investigation and neither is there any formal arrangement to that effect. They are carrying out their investigation in relation to the Mumbai terror attacks and are tight-lipped about the whole process. As far as the investigation is concerned, there is nothing more than a little informal information sharing between us.”
Porbandar Superintendent of Police Dipankar Trivedi also denied reports that Maulana Abdul Sattar, a cleric who was named as an accused in the RDX landing case of 1993, has been questioned by the police in connection with the Mumbai attacks.
Trivedi said: “His name has not cropped up in our investigation so far and we have no reason to suspect him or question him. The other fishermen questioned so far have fully co-operated and provided us with all the required details.”
