Dagal said: "We are awaiting the formal permission from the settlement commission of Gujarat to begin the demarcation exercise. Till then, both teams are tallying the land records."

He added, "Soon the survey work on the disputed land with Survey number 30, 33 and 34 in Mathasra village of Khedbrahma Vijaynagar and Poshina Taluka of Sabarkantha will be conducted."

He said it is a time consuming job and it will be difficult to specify the time limit. Dayma said that officials from the two states have met in the wake of a letter written by the joint secretary of Rajasthan to his Gujarat counterpart to settle the issue. "A total of 10 blocks including one belonging to state government have been the main issue behind the dispute and it is being tallied by both states," said Dagal.
