  • Representatives of Rico Auto Industries held a press conference at their Gurgaon unit near Hero Honda Chowk on Thursday evening about the latest developments after a meeting of the company representatives and workers. Work at the unit had come to a standstill post-Diwali following a massive labour unrest.

Regarding the protestors’ demand that all suspended workers be taken back, the management said an inquiry was pending at the labour department.

“We are ready to take back a few of them. Once the report arrives, we will decide on the rest of the cases,” a representative from Rico said.

In a positive development, around 500 workers joined duty on Thursday.
