Gurmeet bats Bedi CC to win

  • A fine knock of 58 runs from Gurmeet helped Bedi Cricket Club outplay Fateh Cricket Club by 72 runs in a league match of Jal Mohali Premier League on Sunday. Batting first, Bedi CC scored 171 runs in 25 overs. Navdeep claimed four wickets for 26 runs. In reply, Fateh CC were all out for 99 runs. Rahul picked up three wickets for 11 runs. In another match, MCA CA defeated Youth CC by 29 runs. Youth CC could make only 131 runs for the loss of seven wickets in reply to MCA CA's 140 for 4.

    APJ, Sec 16 Academy record easy wins
    CHANDIGARH
    : APJ, Kharrar recorded 28-run win over MCM Blue Caps in a match during the first match of the U-15 CCA Cup played at MCM College-36 in Chandigarh on Sunday.

    Batting first, APJ, Kharrar scored a total of 215 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 35 overs. Harman Harry (54) and Kapil Punia (50) scored half-centuries for APJ, Kharrar.

    Anmol (44) and Shine Sharma (27) chipped in with useful contributions. For MCM Blue Caps, Angad Chahal and Manik scalped two wickets each.Led by some brilliant bowling performances from Harman 3/33 and Anmol 2/22, MCM Blue Caps were bundled out for paltry score of 87 in 34.2 overs. Angad Chahal impressive knock of 60 went in vain as his team lost the match by 28 runs.

    In the second match of the day, Sec 16 Stadium Academy defeated GNPS/CCA Academy by 46 runs in a match held at GNPS-36 in Chandigarh. On winning the toss, Sector 16 Cricket Academy scored 142 runs losing all wickets in 39.2 overs. Aditya (4/21) and Kshitij (3/32) helped their team restrict the opposition at 142. Hemant (35) emerged as top-scorer for Sec 16 Stadium Academy. In reply, GNPS/CCA Academy were bundled out for 96 in 29.2 overs.

    : Navdeep Boora's blistering knock of 139 helped Shri Shri Cricket Academy register an easy win over St. Xavier's School during Satluj Trophy Under -17

    Tournament in a match played in Panchkula on Sunday.

    Batting first, St. Xavier's School amassed a total of 231 runs in 25 overs. Siddharth (93) and Shubham Rana (33) were the main scorers for St. Xavier's. For Shri Shri Sidharth grabbed two wickets. In reply, Shri Shri Cricket Academy achieved the target in 24.4 overs with a help of Navdeep Boora's sparkling knock of 139 in 78 balls. His innings included fifteen boundaries.

    Shri Shri Cricket Academy

    Cricket tourney from July 12
    Chandigarh Sports Club will organise the IInd Prakash Devi Arora Memorial League Cricket Tournament from July 12. The matches shall be played on league-cum-knockout basis. The league matches shall be of 20-overs duration while semi-finals of 25 overs. The final will be of 30-overs duration. Matches will be played on Sundays and gazetted holidays only.
