'We always take up (issues) whenever something bothers us or Pakistan,' said External Affairs Minister S M Krishna.

India on Wednesday indicated that it would take up with Pakistan the issue of spoofing of terrorists' satellite phones which hamper efforts to track them.

"We always take up (issues) whenever something bothers us or Pakistan. We always take up (issues) mutually," External Affairs Minister S M Krishna told reporters in New Delhi.

He was responding when asked to comment on reports that Pakistan is "spoofing" Thuraya satellite phones commonly used by terrorists, thus hampering efforts to track their movements and undermining its stated commitments to end anti-India terrorism.

"Whatever Pakistan does, India has been closely monitoring those events," Krishna said.

He said the country's borders are "secure".

Underlining that India wants friendly relations with Pakistan, he said leaders of the two countries would use every available opportunity in the international fora to meet and make efforts in this direction.

Asked about Islamabad's commitment in handling terror, Krishna said "we have said that Pakistan will have to visibly exhibit its resolve to fight terror... These will be factored in our response".

On whether he was satisfied with the actions being taken by Pakistan, he said "it is not the question of my satisfaction. It is the question that we have to live as neighbours."

India to take up 'spoofing of terror phones' with PakBy: Javed Khan | 09-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Itis high time that we paki the Pakis in the same coin. For a start we should blast the Paki terrorist training camps in POK with the Smerch Super Guns. If the Pakis protest then we should ask them for proof of India firing into their territory . Then we shouldhave this elaborate charade of "investigation" and send to the Pakist a set or "questions" The Pakis are heathen . They do not understand any other language than getting bludgeoned. The second thing is to take covert action against the ISI chiefs and the Terrorist group leaders. Target them one by one for liquidation. This is the only way in which wecan slowly but surely solve the Paki problem. Lastly, for good measure threaten Pakistan with Nuclear Attacks just as they threaten us at present.
Mr.By: BIS CHEEMA | 08-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Pakistan does not have, and has never had a democratic government, that may be truly concerned with welfare of its people. Selfish and self appointed rulers of the unfortunate country are only interested in hanging on to power. They have always found religion and a threat from India as as convenient tools. Further, they have been and are ever ready to serve the foreign vested interests to gain financial and political support, for enslavement of their people. Most countries have an Army, In Pakistan, the Army has a country. India cannot have any meaning full interaction with such an unrepresentative leadership. It is time for India to establish contacts with the peoples movements and extend all the help, short an open war, that it can, so that they can liberate themselves. Further India ought to do all it can to restrict and limit the western powers influence in its immediate neighborhood.
eunuch politiciansBy: bipin | 08-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward india is ruled by the bunch of eunuchs. why on earth we want good relation with pakistan. if the terrorists are found then blast them off there and then. no need to give any proof to the failed state.
India By: RN | 08-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward Since decades the USA has proven time and again that they prefer to support Pakistan. While siding with India, they are even at the current situation pumping billions of dollars in the name of aid to Pakistan. While, our spineless poor politicians are knocking on the doors of US (O'baa, o"maa) anticipating assistance. In many instances, though geographically Pakistan comes before enroute to India, the US Politicians always used to come to India first and talk against PAK policities towards India, and later they visit PAK and declare all aids and double speak on India. Indians are yet to learn this dirty politics - or may be due to pressure and for political mileage our politicians are letting it go. US never like the growth that India achieve. What happened to those politicians who were so passionate to have the Nuclear Deal signed last July, else India would have drawned in the Arabian Sea? Now they have an excuse the delay is due to "Recession".
Pakistan RelationBy: Ash | 08-Jul-2009 Reply | Forward This type of statement by a minister does not sounds good to me after all what is Pakistan every Indian knows. He should tell what he is doing for the biggest threat to India from China and its Moist, the example we have seen in four states of India recently, this development has not taken overnight. Unless India make itself economically, internally and externally strong enough and well prepared to dig out its roots, this problem will spread like a cancer if not taken seriously.
