The body of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, who was killed by US special forces near Pakistani capital in the wee hours today, would be handled in Islamic tradition, US officials said, without elaborating whether it will be taken to America or buried in Pakistan.
"We are ensuring that it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition. This is something that we take very seriously. And so therefore this is being handled in an appropriate manner," a senior administration official said.
