Hathaway to be named Harvard’s Hasty Pudding

Anne Hathaway will honoured as 2010's 'Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year' by students of Harvard University.

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway will honoured as 2010’s ‘Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year’ by students of Harvard University.

The ‘Princess Diaries’ star has accepted an invitation to be part of the University drama club’s wacky annual festivities in February this year,when she will be handed the title,reported Contactmusic.

The 27-year-old actress will be paraded around campus and then she will also take part in a revue,a type of theatrical entertainment.

‘The Hasty Pudding’ is awarded to entertainers who make a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment.”

Last year,’Chicago’ star Renee Zellweger was awarded the honour,while ‘Spider-Man’ star James Franco was named ‘Man of the Year’. This year’s top man has yet to be announced.
