HBTI students booked for impersonation

The Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) authorities registered a case on Saturday at Nawabganj police station against two students for cheating and impersonation during BTech first year exams.

The Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) authorities registered a case on Saturday at Nawabganj police station against two students for cheating and impersonation during BTech first year exams.

Sharad,a student of BTech final year,had impersonated Rajveer Singh of first year in two papers and appeared on his behalf.

Later,when Rajveer appeared for the August 27 exam,the invigilating team got suspicious and questioned him,who admitted to the impersonation.

In a related incident,the five MTech first year students,who were recently asked to vacate the hostel and barred from appearing in the semester exam on charges of indiscipline,

have challenged the HBTI decision in the Allahabad High Court.

The students are Pradip Rai,Vikas Pandey,Rishi Kumar Singh,Neelam Pandey and Sneha Pandey.
