HCL to provide over 6500 laptops to ITSchool

This initiative is an integral part of the Kerala govt to enhance the role of technology in the state.

HCL Infosystems has been selected by KELTRON as the leading vendor to provide over 6500 units of laptops and netbooks.

Keltron is the nodal agency for supplying the Laptop & Netbook as a part of ITSchool project for government of Kerala,a press release here said.

This initiative is an integral part of the Kerala Government of Keralas vision in enhancing the role of technology in the state education system. HCL Infosystems will be partnering with the state government and will be providing best in class HCL ME Laptops designed for Indian conditions and supported by HCLs service and support network,one of the largest in the country today.

Speaking on the occasion,J V Ramamurthy,President and COO,HCL Infosystems said efforts made by the Kerala government & Keltron encouraging ICT enabled education are truly commendable and HCL looks forward to a continued association with such initiatives along with many more to come.

ITSchool is a project led by Department of General Education,of Kerala Government to foster IT education and facilitate ICT enabled education delivery in schools across the state.

The project will be covering classes starting 5-12 th standards in the state reaching out to over 8000 schools.
