    Heart matters
A unique play to create awareness about cardiovascular diseases was organised by Dr Jagdish Hiremath recently. Heart by Hiremaths, Series II, aimed at creating awareness on heart diseases, was held on June 19 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Kothrud. Actor Nikhil Ratnaparkhi played the lead role in the play, whereas the supporting roles were essayed by Siddheshwar Zhadbuke, Niyoj Mujavar, Madhuri Apte and Dr Jagdish Hiremath. “Cardiovascular problems are today causing so many deaths. They are growing everyday and the rate of their growth is very high too. It is a very serious problem, but to reach the masses, we decided to make the content humorous. This makes it easier to explain the causes and prevention of the disease in an interesting and comprehensive manner,” said Dr Hiremath.
