    Dr Mukesh Batra, founder and CMD, Dr Batras' Positive Health Clinic Private Limited (DBPHCPL) has been honoured with the "International Medical Excellence Award" along with a Certificate of Medical Excellence for his dedicated contribution to the field of healthcare and medicine in India and overseas. He was specially invited to participate in the prestigious seminar on Economic Development organised by the Institute of Economic Studies (IES) at New Delhi, where he was presented the award. The award was presented to him by the former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Mr Korn Dabbaransi, who was the chief guest for the Seminar and Award Ceremony.

    Shatayushi magazine
    Shatayushi aims at nucleating the concept of Healthy and Hygienic Habits amongst the common people. The first issue of Shatayushi was published on 1979 and the 31st issue was published on Sunday October 11. In last 30 years Shatayushi has a readership of about 16 lakhs. Special attention is given to "Indigestion, Acidity and Gasses" as it is the most common symptom prominent in India amongst adults as well as children. Dr John Sinnot, dean and director, Infective diseases and International Medicine, Florida, has contributed latest information on Swine Flu.

    Let’s work together
    The Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA) organised 'Let's Work Together' campaign, of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR), here in India. To raise awareness amongst the medical community,arthritis patients and general public, the IRA had organised various initiatives on World Arthritis Day across the country. In Pune, close to 0.5 per cent of the population, is suffering from this deadly disease. An awareness programme was organized in Pune by Dr Arvind Chopra in which he said, "Most people think if a disease that does not kill is unimportant without realizing that Rheumatoid Arthritis gravely affects the quality of a person's life and can lead to permanent disability.”
