A grand finale celebrations on Friday marked the culmination of health awareness week at Love Dale Montessori Home.
During the week, the children were made aware of the importance of wholesome nutritious food and healthy habits of eating and living. Children brought nutritious food during the week. They were told not to trouble their mothers for cold drinks and junk food. They made cards for their mothers promising to eat and live healthy and to wish Mother’s Day
On this occasion, a dental check up was also held. Dr Ritu Kathpal gave tips to the children as to how to keep healthy teeth. She also gifted the children a dental-care kit.
Today, children came dressed as fruits, vegetables, milk, lime water, fresh juices, pulses and cereals etc. They also spoke about the advantages of nutritious diet. Children carried placards saying, “Say no to cold drinks and junk food”. They were served sprouts, fruits and vegetable sandwiches.
While at the primary wing of Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar, also the fifth day of health week was celebrated. An eye specialist checked up the eyes of children and gave them advice accordingly.
