Most musicians would agree that making a tune is the easy part. Launching it into the market is far tougher. Hopefuls can now find support in a new website http://www.artistaloud.com ,which acts as a platform for original musicians to upload their creation and find listeners. A brainchild of Mumbai-based digital entertainment media company Hungama Digital Media Pvt Ltd,the portal currently features over 30 artists spanning six genres,ranging from alternative pop,classic Indipop,fusion and English rock to Hindi rock and Bollywood Pop . Neeraj Roy,CEO,Hungama Digital Media,adds,“All artistes retain the publishing rights of their compositions. They have the liberty to take their music onto the physical medium via any record label.”

Bollywood duo Siddharth and Suhas of Dil Dosti Etc fame were among the first to upload their recent creations,as were Bengali alternative rock band Deenga and ghazal pop singer Runit Arya.

To listen to their music,log on to the website and get a free one-minute preview of each song. “The complete song can be downloaded using two price packs – single download at Rs 10 and a value pack that allows you to download four songs at Rs 20,” says Roy.
