Hindu Mahasabha moves SC against part of Ayodhya verdict

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has moved the Supreme Court.

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has moved the Supreme Court,challenging part of the Allahabad High Courts September 30 verdict on the Ayodhya suits.

Hindu Mahasabha national president Swami Chakra Pani has sought partial annulment of the High Courts majority verdict handing over one third of the disputed land to Muslims.

It also sought the apex courts endorsement of the September 30 minority verdict of Justice Dharam Veer Sharma,who wanted the entire land handed over to Hindus.

Set aside the judgment dated September 30,2010 by Justice S U Khan and Justice Sudhir Agarwal to the extent that one-third of the property in dispute has been declared in favour of Muslims and to allot share to them in the decree, the petition said.

Justices Khan and Agarwal ruled that the land should be divided into three parts and one part each handed over to the Sunni Waqf Board,Nirmohi Akhara and the parties representing Ram Lalla Virajman. Justice Sharma had held that the entire disputed area belongs to Hindus.
