An avid fan, Nagarwala scanned through news stories and clippings on Jackson that were aired following his death. “I watched televison all the time to trace the life history of Jackson and then one day I came across Jackson 5, a video being aired on a news channel. That's how I got the idea of working on a painting that shows the four stages of his life,” he says. Nagarwala's first painting (2ft by 3ft) covers the four stages of Jackson's life. “The frame is divided into four parts. The first segment has Jackson’s face as a 10-year-old, the second one has Jackson as a 30-year-old, the third one as 40 and the last one as 60,” elaborates Nagarwala.

Nagarwala, who has already exhibited his paintings in various group exhibitions and has sold a couple of his creations as well, says that the Jackson collection will solely be a part of his private collection and is not for sale. “It is a tribute to my music god and I want it to be with me,” he says.
