Hisar power plant to be synchronised with grid today

CHANDIGARH: The first unit of the 2X600 MW Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Project (RGTPP) at Khedar in district Hisar will be synchronised with the grid on Tuesday. Managing Director of Haryana Power Generation Corporation,Sanjeev Kaushal,said consistent generation of 600 MW of power would take more than a month. “A project of this size takes at least 39 months for commissioning. However,for the Hisar project an aggressive commissioning schedule of 35 months has been envisaged,” he added.
