In the coming three months, there will be high-tech security system in place around the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's office and the state Assembly, what with "smart access control" devices like boom gates, tyre bursters and micro chip-laced smart card entry and CCTVs.

An emergency exit and entry is already under construction for the CM office and the Assembly.

The computerised boom gate will scan every vehicle and take a photo of the driver before letting it enter, and the tyre bursters will burst all the vehicle tyres within seconds, in case a person without the micro chip-lased smart card tries to enter these places.

"These access control devices are being installed on the pattern of Parliament security system," said Secretary to Chief Minister Anup Pandey.

To study the Parliament security system, a two-member team comprising the Secretary Home and Pandey had visited New Delhi last year. Later, Parliament Security Director Sandeep Salunke, also a UP cadre IAS officer, was called to study the situation.

"The smart card will have complete information about the person in a micro chip. The moment it is touched to the gate, all details about the person will flash on the computer, and the boom gate will also screen the vehicle before letting it enter the gate," explained Pandey.

Recently, the Samajwadi Party members had entered the House with gas-filled balloons which they had sneaked in their shawls. Chief Minister Mayawati had pulled up senior officials for the security lapses.
