Hizbul chief arrested in Kashmir

J-K Police has arrested the Chief operational commander of Hizbul Mujahideen,Muzaffar Ahmed Dar,in Srinagar.

J-K Police on Monday achieved a major success when they arrested the Chief operational commander of Kashmir largest militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen- Muzaffar Ahmed Dar- in Srinagar.

39 year old militant commander of Hizb was one among the most wanted militants in J-K.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir,S Srinvivas said that Muzaffar Ahmad Dar was arrested at 3:30 pm from Saderbal near Kashmir University.

“Dar has masterminded several terrorist activities and has been also involved in financing the terrorist activities of the Hizb,” Srinvivas said.

“He was also involved in the IED blast in July 2008 at Narbal in which many security men suffered causalities.”

Over 12 Army men were killed when a bus carrying the troops was caught in the blast in the Narbal area on Baramulla Srinagar national highway. The militant outfit had claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
