Police added that the suicide note left by the deceased stated that he was harassed by the college authorities and he reportedly knew about donations and other malpractices carried out by the authorities in the college.

They stated that the deceased was reportedly under pressure. In his suicide note, Patel has held the

reasons why he was harassed by them.”

Patel, who was with the college for last 10 years, was a resident of Arjun Towers in Ghatlodia.

Ashok Vaghela, a peon in the college and a close friend of Patel, said: “He (Patel) had sent a message asking me to collect a diary and a CD from his home. He had written a suicide note on the last page of the diary. He has mentioned the names of nine persons in the note. He has mentioned that the trustees are very corrupt and harass people in lower posts."
