Atin Ghosh, chairman of Municipal Accounts Committee said that publishing a false claim in the budget report naming CAG is an offence.

“Mayor not only deceived the board of councillors but he also cheated the people by making these kinds of false claims. We will submit our report on the issue. This is an offence,” said Ghosh. Bhattacharya, however, remained silent on the issue.
