Michael Jackson’s death certificate has been reissued, officially stating the star’s death as homicide.

Michael Jackson’s death certificate has been reissued, officially stating the star’s death as homicide.

The new document now apparently says the King of Pop died of "acute intoxication" caused by powerful anaesthetic Propofol.

The singer’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray, who is at the centre of a manslaughter probe, previously confessed giving the drug to the insomniac star to help him sleep.

The story comes after the Los Angeles County Coroner concluded Propofol and the sedative lorazepam as the primary drugs responsible for Jackson's death.

The re-issued certificate lists "acute Propofol intoxication" as the main cause of death and "benzodiazepine effect" as a significant contributor.

Jackson died aged 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his rented LA mansion on June 25.

He is due to be buried at a walled Los Angeles cemetery on September 3.
