Hooda holds rally in memory of Bansi Lal

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to name the Jui canal after former chief minister Bansi Lal. Addressing a public rally at Bhiwani today, to mark the birth anniversary of Bansi Lal, Hooda said that a scheme was also being formulated for the permanent solution of sewerage and road problem of Bhiwani city. He also assured the people of conducting a survey for widening the western by-pass of the city.

Paying rich tributes to Bansi Lal, Hooda unveiled his life-size statue and also laid the foundation stone of Bansi Lal Memorial Government Polytechnic, Bhiwani.

Hooda described Bansi Lal as a great son and architect of Haryana.

He expressed sympathies for the families of those killed in police firing in Kharak village.

Vidya Devi, widow of Bansi Lal; Ranbir Mahendra, MLA; and Bansi Lal’s grandson Aniruddha also addressed the gathering. Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharambir Singh, Working President of HPCC, Kuldeep Sharma and Somvir Singh were also present.

Kiran Choudhry, Minister of State for Forest and Tourism and daughter-in law of Bansi Lal, was conspicuous by her absence.
