The size of the Hooda ministry has gone up to ten after the expansion.

Six-time MLA Ajay Singh Yadav is the new Haryana Finance Minister as Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda kept the vital Home department with himself while allocating portfolios to his Council of Ministers.

The Independents, propping the Hooda government, were also rewarded with some key portfolios like Tourism, Civil Aviation and Home (Minister of State).

Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala has been allotted Parliamentary Affairs portfolio and Geeta Bhukkal Education while Paramvir Singh will look after Agriculture.

Om Parkash Jain, an Independent MLA from Panipat Rural, has been allocated Transport, Tourism, Civil Aviation and Hospitality departments, an official spokesman said.

Besides, the key Finance portfolio, Ajay Yadav will hold the charge of Planning, Irrigation, Institutional Finance and Credit Control, Forests and Environment.
