Hot Chocolate Nudge

The social media is abuzz. Everyone on Twitter and YouTube wants to know who's that pretty young girl biting into a chocolate bar in the new Cadbury Dairy Milk commercial. And who is the other chocolate girl waiting at the bus stop? And, of course, who is Samantha in the Micromax cellphone advertisement, who changes phone covers and boyfriends with a naughty smile? These girls have everyone talking. Harneet Singh finds out more about them

7 Amy Dastur, Age: 17

Recall: She's Samantha in the Micromax convertible phone ad. It's the ad where two boys in a gym suspect that they might be having the same girlfriend only to see Samantha change the back panel of her cellphone to a new colour as she meets another guy.

The ad has made such a splash that Amy has hired a manager to navigate her career. In the ad, she was asked to play a "cute and funny" serial cheater. "I just had to hug a guy in one shot and give a cheeky smile in another. It was easy," she says.

Rewind: This Class XI student of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, has wanted to model since she was a child, so her mother struck a deal with her "that she'll allow me to get a portfolio shot when I turn 16." Her first assignment was for Clean & Clear. She's keen on a Bollywood career and has started Hindi diction classes and acting workshops. "My mother and I have made another deal. My priority is education, I have to get a business degree but I want to keep modeling and acting," she says.

She Said It: "Aishwarya has been a huge inspiration and I aspire to be like her."
