The ad has made such a splash that Amy has hired a manager to navigate her career. In the ad,she was asked to play a “cute and funny” serial cheater. “I just had to hug a guy in one shot and give a cheeky smile in another. It was easy,” she says.

Rewind: This Class XI student of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School,Mumbai,has wanted to model since she was a child,so her mother struck a deal with her “that she’ll allow me to get a portfolio shot when I turn 16.” Her first assignment was for Clean & Clear. She’s keen on a Bollywood career and has started Hindi diction classes and acting workshops. “My mother and I have made another deal. My priority is education,I have to get a business degree but I want to keep modeling and acting,” she says.

Role Models: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aamir Khan.

She Said It: “Aishwarya has been a huge inspiration and I aspire to be like her.”

Shivani Joshi,Age: 15

Recall: She’s the girl on the staircase in Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Silk commercial. In the ad,the father comes up on the girl and the boy who are in a chocobliss — their faces smeared with chocolate. Shivani shot this ad two years ago in Pune. “I was 13 but the ad has only come out now,”she says. Her brief during the shoot was simple: just enjoy the chocolate and make it look tempting. “They kept melting the chocolate bar and kept putting nutella and chocolate sauce on my face to create the whole effect. It was funny,” she laughs.

Rewind: Shivani,a Class X student of the Hiranandani Foundation School,Mumbai,started auditioning for ads on her mother’s insistence. “I started working in ads six years back and enjoy it,” she says.

Umang Jain,Age: 21

Recall: Britannia Good Day and Choco chip cookies. Also the Shubh Aarambh — Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye Cadbury’s ad. Umang is the girl at the bus stop eating chocolate when a boy requests her for a piece as his mother said that before doing anything auspicious,one should have something sweet. When she asks him about the auspicious work he’s planning,he promptly tells her that he was thinking of dropping her back home.

Rewind: She’s worked with the likes of Anurag Kashyap,Pradeep Sarkar,Prasoon Pandey and Shoojit Sircar. She started out as a child actor in serials like Justajoo,Karishma Karishma,Gharwali Uparwali and Sunaina. “I always wanted to act. It took me two years to convince my family,” says the Mumbai girl. Her Cadbury ad was shot in Puducherry by Vinil Matthews. The two-day-long ad shoot had one side effect. “I couldn’t look at chocolate for the next four months,” she says. The ad response was massive so much so that three Facebook fan pages were instantly dedicated to her. The next step is Bollywood. She’s got a few offers but is waiting for the right launchpad. “I’m serious about my career and don’t want to do just anything. I’d rather wait.”

She Said It: “I’m very strong on my technical skills. Since I’ve been doing commercial modelling and not just fashion modelling,I have learnt to act with expressions. There is a lot I can say with my eyes. Bollywood is always on the look out for heroines who can emote so I can fill that space.”
