HP govt to approach Supreme Court on ‘nautor’ land grants

The Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday said it would soon approach the Supreme Court to seek intervention for regularisation of the 'Nautor' allotted to tribals in the state's tribal belt.

The Himachal Pradesh government on Thursday said it would soon approach the Supreme Court to seek intervention for regularisation of the ‘Nautor’ allotted to tribals in the state’s tribal belt. The issue of the Forest Rights and regularization of the ‘Nautor’ cases was raised in the meeting of the state level Tribal Advisory Committee. The government informed the members that since the land allotted under Nautors was forest area,the issue would be taken up with the Supreme Court to give relief to the tribals.
