Actor Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Khan have come forward to lend their support for AIDS awareness campaign.

The couple attended the 26th International AIDS Candlelight Memorial here. The event, which was organised by Parmeshwar Godrej's Heroes Project and the Mumbai District AIDS Control Society, echoed the slogan "Together we are the solution". Hrithik took the pledge "I will" to show his solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS.

"We are not doing this only for HIV infected people. We are doing this for you and me. AIDS is not something that happening to other people but it is happening to us," Hrithik told a news channel.

The actor credited his wife Suzanne for giving him the "impetus" to be a part of the cause.

"I think it is important for prominent people to do something for human value," Suzanne said.
