  • Paris fashion week was marked with a heady mix of geometric and floral prints with a splash of bright colours. The late fifties dominated the Christian Dior collection, with models walking the ramp in bubble skirts and boxy jackets with large buttons in hues of purple, hot pink, orange and lime green. The collection also saw circular print dresses with concentrated circles in pink, red and purple on a pristine white background. Manish Arora played with bright fluorescent colours like blue, green, pink and yellow along with shapes that ranged from A-line skirts to wide legged pants and cropped jackets with bell sleeves in his pop-art inspired collection. Lebanese designer Elie Saab’s collection was a mix of satin and chiffon evening gowns in etheral colours like emerald, topaz and ruby-red. “Bigger, bolder colours are big this season. From hot pink, sunshine yellow to bright orange, the colours are vibrant. In prints, stripes, polka dots or geometric shapes should be a part of everyone’s wardrobe,” says designer Nandita Mehtani.
