Victoria face of the year, a beauty pageant, being held in the city is looking for a face that would stand out among the crowd. The contest is being organised at different locations in and around the tricity. The grand finale is scheduled to be held on December 29.

Girls from all over the region including Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh are participating in the contest. 20 girls would be shortlisted for the final round. The proceedings of the third day were held at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5, Panchkula on Saturday.

Three rounds of catwalk, talent round and personality round were conducted.

“It is a great platform for participants to showcase their talent. We are getting trained by experts and we don’t even have to pay for it,” smiled Jonsy Sethi, a contestant from Kurekshetra.

The panel of judges comprising model and actress Salina Prakash, actor-trainer Barjesh Ahuja, fashion stylist and designer Wimmy, cosmetic expert Parvesh Handa and Vikram, NIFD head at Patiala chose the winners in each category. Meanwhile, a dance troop from Haryana also performed a folk dance to liven up the atmosphere.

Organiser Sunil Bansal, who is also the director, producer and owner of Studio Model Creators said, “This pageant will help in grooming the girls and bringing out the best in them. Zeenat Aman and Nafisa Ali would be among the judges for the grand finale.”

The contest is being held in association with Ultimate Diamonds, Information and Public Relation department, Haryana, Amartex group of industries and Studio Model Creators.
