Goldie Hawn performed 'Ganga Aarti' at the Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Clad in white and with a vermillion 'Tilak' on her forehead, Hollywood star Goldie Hawn performed 'Ganga Aarti' at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and had only one word to describe her relationship with India, fascinating.

The 63-year-old Oscar winner who is also the mother of actress Kate Hudson, had first come to the country 36 years ago to get 'diksha' (first lesson) in Hinduism from Guru Devkinandan Shastri and is here to pay tribute to her religious mentor who passed away last year.

"I am fascinated by India and it's culture and colours. This is my seventh visit to the holy city and the main purpose of the visit was to pay homage to my late guru, who imparted me lessons in astrology and spirituality," Hawn said.

Gokul Sharma, the son of Devkinandan Shastri said that Hawn has been visiting his father over the years to consult him about life and the future.
