British heartthrob Colin Firth is convinced that he would never get any female attention if he was not an actor and insists that he is too old to keep carrying his sex symbol mantle.
The 'Bridget Jone's Diary' actor shot to fame with his portrayal of Mr Darcy in 1995's 'Pride And Prejudice', famously winning the hearts of female film fans by appearing in soaking wet clothes, Hello! magazine reported.
But the 49-year-old star believes that the attention will soon stop now he's hit middle-age.
"I think I'm getting a bit old for that stuff now, aren't I? I suppose that because of the profession I'm in, I do get a certain amount of attention that I probably would not get if I had not been known," Firth said.
"I certainly wouldn't get the attention I get if I hadn't been on screen," he added.
