I dream in colour,says spunky Adah Sharma

And so drastic are the effects that even a scary looking Adah Sharma of ‘1920’ tempts you with her new bright and cheerful change. “A new you is the easiest way to have a fresh and optimistic outlook about life”,says Adah.

UK’s Harrow Observer columnist and BH’s London correspondent caught up with the beautiful actress at her Pali Hill residence where everything seemed bright,her mood,her outfit and her room. So before the monsoon hits our city now,Adah shows her true colours in a bright new makeover just as summer approaches its grand finale. Over to the true chameleon captured by lensman Mohit Israni.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear ‘pink’?

Bubble gum. That’s what comes to my mind.

Do you think pink can be termed as sexy?

Without doubt,pink is a wonderfully sexy colour and generates a feeling of gentle warmth and nurturing. It lessens feelings of anger and irritability,surrounding us with a sense of love and protection. Pink also helps to reduce feelings of loneliness,unhappiness and vulnerability. Pink is also connected with the zodiac sign of Aquarius and the planet of Venus,named after the Roman Goddess of Love. I can even chew a bubble gum and look sexy.

The tube top you’re wearing in your push back hair style is looking sexy.

Thank you. Actually,it’s also got a bit of orange in it but you can’t make out. I know it’s a weird combination but I think I can pull off the weirdest colours pretty well.

Can men carry off pink well?

I don’t believe in people when they say that men can’t carry off pink. I’ve seen a lot of men who really look good in pink. If you’re confident about your sexuality,I’m sure you can pull the colour pink off pretty well. It depends on your attitude when you wear any colour.

What have you got in your wardrobe that is pink?

Rubber bands,shoe laces,hair bands,two tops and a pink kurta. I wore a pink dress during my first press conference to promote 1920. I also have the Bryan Adams song ‘Pink is my favourite colour'(laughs). Though my favourite Bryan Adams number is ‘Please forgive me’.

Have you ever gone colour blind?

No,I haven’t. But I’ve got a friend who is colour blind and she can’t even decide between the shades of yellow. Quite strange. I’ve researched that 97.3% population of the world dream in black and white. But I dream in colour. But when I was young,I came to know that all animals are colour blind. Bees do not get attracted by the colour of the flowers and the bull does not attack the matador because it sees a red cloth. We humans should be very lucky because we’ve got the rods and cones in our eyes because of which we can differentiate colours.

If you were a colour,which one would you be?

I’d pick white because it reflects all the seven colours. I’m a very giving person when I wear white.
