The mystery surrounding 'King of Pop' Michael Jackson's final resting place seems to have been solved by a British newspaper which reported that the pop icon will be buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood.

The exclusive cemetery which is the resting place of Hollywood who's who, was the venue for the private memorial service of Jackson and now The Sun has reported that the 'Thriller' hitmaker will be buried there.

In the past few days a fresh grave has been dug in the south section of the park, in the Jackson family's plot where the pop legend's grandmother is also buried, the newspaper reported.

The gated cemetery houses hundreds of America's celebrities from baseball players to film directors among whom Hollywood legends Clark Gable and Walt Disney were idolised by Jackson.

The property is dotted with dozens of chapels and mausoleums. The other rich and famous who are buried here include Humphrey Bogart, Nat King Cole, Bette Davis and Sammy Davis Jnr.
