An IAF fighter aircraft mistakenly dropped a bomb outside the designated firing range during a training exercise near Jaisalmer. The incident did not cause any damage on the ground. The Mirage 2000 fighter,which had flown from Gwalior to carry out an air to ground bombing practice at the firing range,accidentally released it on civilian land just outside the range,an IAF officer confirmed. While no one was injured in the incident,the IAF has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
