Last Saturday,author of the book ‘One and a Half White’,Meghna Pant,conducted a book reading in the city. The session explained the story of a young Indian immigrant girl whose big American dreams turns to ashes. Pant,editor of a business magazine has formerly worked as a television anchor. Her debut novel relates a well-crafted,warm story of identity crisis. The story begins with a parrot,who picks up cards to predict little Amara Malhotra’s destiny as a ‘one-and-a-half wife’. The author has been on long-list for the Cinnamon Press Writing Award and has been selected as a top finalist in Word hustler’s Literary Storm Novel Contest.
