IFFCO chairman Surinder (Balram Jakhar’s son) dies of gunshot wounds

IFFCO chairman Surinder Jakhar died of gunshot wounds under mysterious circumstances at his farmhouse at Abohar,some 125 kms from Ferozepur.

56-year-old Jakhar,son of former Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Jakhar,was fatally wounded while cleaning his pistol,SP (Headquarters) Ferozpur Surjit Singh said.

Soon after receiving the gunshot wounds,Surinder was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead,family members said.

Preliminary investigations showed the pistol went off accidentally and there was no foul play,the SP said.
