Ileana,the much sought-after actress of Telugu films,makes a guest appearance in the Kannada movie Thunta Thunti. The song featuring Ileana was shot in Goa recently. Directed by Indrajith Lankesh,actor Dhyan plays the lead in the film. Lekha Washington,Sada and Ishitha Sharma are the heroines in Thunta Thunti.

Jeeva as villain in Singam
Actor Jeeva is thrilled about his forthcoming Tamil film,Singam. He plays the hero as well as the villain in this film. Jeeva is excited about playing a villain for the first time in his career. As the hero,he plays a good-hearted fisherman,while he also plays a sadist who takes immense pleasure in killing women. Directed by Sai Ramani,Singam also stars Divya Spandana,Livingston,Santhanam and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan. Mani Sharma will compose the films music. Singam will hit screens in July.

Director turns actor
Karu Palaniappan,the director who has made films like Parthiban Kanavu and Pirivom Santhippom,has now turned to acting. He is all set to make his debut as a hero in Mandhira Punnahai,which he is also directing. The film is a love story with a difference. The protagonist,an architect,doesnt believe in love. But things take a new meaning for him after a young medical student enters his life. While Karu is playing the architect,Meenakshi is the female lead. Produced by M.Nagarajan and Karthik Nagarajan,the film has music by Vidyasagar.

Balakrishna in Simha
Popular actor Balakrishna,who is at present basking in the success of Simha,is all set to act in acclaimed director Puri Jagannaths next film. The movie will be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh,who had earlier produced Chenna Kesava Reddy and Lakshmi Narasimha. At present,Balakrishna is shooting for Dasari Narayana Raos Parama Veera Chakra.

Pooja Gandhi in Aptha
Pooja Gandhi,one of the most happening actresses in Kannada cinema,will play a pivotal role in Aptha,a heroine-oriented film. The film,which also has many prominent actors from Kannada. deals with social issues. Tumkur,Mysore and Bengaluru have been the prime locations for this film.
