In Amethi,Priyanka gets even with Modi,Advani

Campaigning for brother Rahul in Khalispur village of Amethi,Priyanka said,“Do Sonia Gandhi,Rahul or I look old to you.”

Clad in a green cotton saree and sports shoes,Priyanka also took a swipe at BJP leaders LK Advani and Modi by saying that it’s good for them to consider themselves young.

“Agar buzurg apne aapko jawan mehsoos karein to ye unki sehat ke liye achchha hai (If elderly people feel young,it is good for their health),” she said.

Addressing a number of rallies,Priyanka said religion,caste and creed should not find a place in politics.

“They may be important issues,but politics should only remain confined to larger issues like development,” she said. On her own political debut,she said her answer still remains a “no”.

Later,interacting with women in Sujapur block,Priyanka accepted hugs and greetings. “They are a part of my family,” she said.

Residents,meanwhile,said they were gearing up to surprise the Gandhi family by helping Rahul win with a record number of votes.

“Earlier,we voted for Rahul as MP; now we will vote for him as the future PM,” said Sushil Kumar Singh,a resident. DC Mishra,an activist,said,locals have announced a prize for the block where maximum votes are polled.
