  • Haryana Cabinet swearing-in ceremony leads to traffic chaos
    CHANDIGARH:
    The swearing-in ceremony on Saturday at the Haryana Raj Bhawan led to minor traffic chaos as all the four roads leading to the venue were sealed. Visitors to the Sukhna Lake, including schoolchildren, had a tough time as they had to park their vehicles far-off and walk a distance to reach the lake. Heavy police force was deployed and commuters had to take detours with roads blocked in view of the security arrangements.

    Painting workshop at Gurukul School
    PANCHKULA:
    A two-day national level painting workshop, organised by Sanskar Bharti, started at The Gurukul School, Sector 20, on Saturday. Artists from Haryana and Punjab are participating in the workshop, which is based on the theme ‘Indian Culture and Heritage’. The main objective is to give a platform to upcoming artists to interact and facilitate their creative art to reach the common man and influence the society in a positive manner. A group discussion ‘Creativity, a Boon’ was also held.
