The wedding of Esha Deol, daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, to businessman Bharat Takhtani on Friday morning at Mumbai's ISKCON temple, was an intimate affair. With the mahurat between 9.30 am and 10.30 am, the guests turned up early, in elegant Indianwear, at the temple to be received by the bride's father. Some of Bollywood's famous film personalities — Rani Mukerji with mother Krishna, Kavita and Vinod Khanna, Dilip Kumar, Vijayanthimala, Nita and Kokilaben Ambani and Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan — attended the wedding. The bride opted for a traditional red and gold lehenga by Neeta Lulla whereas Bharat was dressed in a white and gold sherwani. Hema Malini wore a Kanjeevaram sari. After the rituals, the bride and the groom returned to Hema Malini's Juhu bungalow for the bidaai ceremony.
