Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today reported 29.64 per cent increase in its total sales in August at 39,490 units.
The company had sold 30461 units in the same month last year,India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.
In the domestic market,the company’s sales stood at 29,934 units as against 22,683 units in the same month last year,up 31.97 per cent. Exports of India Yamaha rose by 22.86 per cent to 9,556 units during the month from 7,778 units in the year-ago period,it added.
“We are very happy with our consistent sales growth this year built on account of our strong product portfolio and high customer confidence achieved through many of our marketing initiatives including the Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) and the R15 One Make Race Championship,” India Yamaha Motor National Business Head Roy Kurian said.
The company now plans to reach out to customers in Tier II and III cities and is expanding its sales and service network,he added.
