IndiaCan opens vocational training centres in Delhi

IndiaCan plans a national network of more than 600 vocational training centres in the near future,focusing on jobs across segments such as finance,retail,sales,IT and insurance.

“We are happy to launch our first few centres in Delhi namely in Pitampura,Vikaspuri and Noida. We will be opening 80 more centres in North India this year. These will be located across Punjab,Himachal Pradesh,Haryana,Rajasthan,Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Across India we should have 250 centres in place by this year end” said Sharad Talwar,CEO,IndiaCan.

IndiaCan centres will offer courses in Spoken English,Accounts,Sales,Retail and IT. Additional courses will be launched shortly.

These courses are backed by Pearson’s 166 years of Global research and expertise (having trained 2.5 Crore learners worldwide in spoken English alone). IndiaCan has tied up with leading Corporates in each of these verticals including retail,banking & finance,telecom and consumer goods,to provide jobs to students who will successfully complete these courses.

One such tie up in Finance is with Religare Enterprises for a certification programme in Commodities wherein selected students are given an offer letter on day one of training,a paid internship and complete fee reimbursement. Similarly in Retail,one of the tie ups is with Aditya Birla Retail wherein students get conditional job offer on day one and assured placement in their retail outlets as soon as they complete the course.
