Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Saturday asked politicians to stop glorifying the resilient spirit of Mumbai in the aftermath of the November 26 terror attack and show ‘the iron will’ to engage the Indian armed forces in a decisive battle to crush the hostile neighbour.

"Let us not forget the fact that ten Pakistan-trained terrorists who attacked the commercial capital of India taking the sea route killed over 200 innocent civilians and 16 uniformed men in the country," Thackeray said an editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

"Despite the universal knowledge of its springboard support to anti-India elements, Pakistan is not only denying the nationality of captured terrorist Kasab but also talking about giving a fitting reply to an Indian response to the situation," he said.

In a sarcastic reference to the much-hyped spirit of Mumbai, Thackeray said even after the 1993 serial bomb blasts, the city was back to its chores the next day and the stock market too transacted business.

"Now Taj and Oberoi have reopened again underlining the spirit of Mumbai which is worthy of praise. But if political leaders feel that the metropolis has put behind the November 26 attack as it starts anew, they are mistaken," the Sena chief said.

"People are scarred but have to pull on with the compulsion of earning their daily bread. And when they leave their homes every day to sweat and earn, they also carry with them angst. While hailing the peoples indomitable spirit, the rulers and politicians should not forget this bitter fact," he said.

Not bangle, but scepctales of Bal ThackerayBy: Suryarao DVR. | 19-Jan-2010 Reply | Forward Every sensible Indian citizen has got the obligation of endorsing theviews of Shiva Sena supremo,Bal Thackeray.Despite one year having elapsed, retributory steps against Pakistan for its genocide committed through poorly secured and guarded West Coast on Mumbai on 26/11 before the ghastly bomb blast in 1993 Dec has not been forgotten, are still awaited. India, being a giant sized country in geographical term and in population, has yet to draw a lesson from microscopic sized Israel in effectively addressing the raids from Palestine`s Hamas(please correct the spelling)and its remarkable adventure of `Operation Entebbe` in the past. In nutshell every patriotic Indian should view the 26/11 holocaust through the spectacles of Bal Thackeray.
divert anger to pakistan not MNS and shivsenaBy: dhananjay | 01-Jan-2009 Reply | Forward those who oppose war in mumbai claim that the share market will collapse and infletion will rise and so cant see why marathi people can live with another attack from 'outsiders' isnt it time that maharashtra has its army and navy after the fact that indian navy admitted that it does not guard formally the sea side and is an offensive force (waiting for orders to strike) balasaheb thakre speaks his mind and for that if immigrants in mumbai want to put guilt on him i am sure he cares same for you. how can voting 100% as claimed by reformist in india after the attacks stop the fidayin attacks? means the WTC and london tube train bombings took place to stop corruption and increase voting % in america and england? stupid disconnected lot.
India is run by two ISI agents 1By: n.krishna | 31-Dec-2008 Reply | Forward Manmohan singh who allowed the ISI bank BCCI to open its branch in India in 1983 while he was a governor of RBI against RAW advise. Later for his service he was inducted to congress. Abedi the Paki who started the BCCI happened to be a major donor to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Foundation, later controlled by Sonia. The first Indira Gandhi Peace Prize was awarded to Yasser Arafat, with money donated by Abedi! In addition, several members of the Gandhi trusts have close ties to Pakistan. A high official of the Nehru Museum and Library is a Pakistani . As per U.S. Congressional hearing records Indira Gandhi's family most likely Rajiv and Sonia, were on the payroll of the Pakistani Banker the late Agha Hassan Abedi, who founded the Bank known as Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). BCCI was a drug money laundering outfit. finally owned by the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zyed.
Drop Thackrey into Pakistan!By: Hasan Abidi | 31-Dec-2008 Reply | Forward India should drop Thackrey and beligrant family members into Pakistan. I m sure they will destroy Pakistan becoming the human bombs or whatsoever way they like. This way India will get rid of both Pakistan and Thackreys who have been involved in hate crimes and inciitng communal tension and abetting Hindu terrorism. Unless Thackrey will not be slapped, he will continue delivering his own verdicts so slap people like him!
Bal thackery's commentsBy: navamani | 31-Dec-2008 Reply | Forward He is absolutely correct stating that India is yet to have great leader. All current leaders are men outside and women inside. They know how to talk but not how to act. After Indira Gandhi, Great son of India is yet to be born. It is sad but true.
