With Indian bowling attack wearing a depleted look, former wicket-keeper Saba Karim today said the visitors should give more stress on their batting to put pressure on Sri Lanka during the Test series.

“India should give stress on the batting side as the present bowling power seems to be weak,” Karim said.

“In the absence of speedster Zaheer Khan, the bowling side looks weak,” he said, adding that in the given situation,India would have to heavily depend on spinners.

Zaheer, who is nursing a shoulder injury, was ruled out even before India left for Sri Lanka and the visitors suffered another blow today when pacer S Sreesanth was sent home with a knee injury.
