“I think Chinmaya Gharekhan is a very competent person to lead this institution. His record speaks for himself. I need not reiterate his credentials,” she said.
Gharekhan said since he was new to the organisation he would like to devote some time trying to know it better. “It is a big responsibility. I intend to study the whole thing and consult everyone as I go along. I hope that I would be able to further consolidate the IGNCA’s responsibility in promoting India’s cultural heritage,” he said.
