‘Infant deaths not related to vaccination’

The Health and Family Welfare Department of the state government has said that the deaths of infants in Kullu and Hamirpur districts did not occur due to administration of DPT vaccine. Director Health Services Dr. Vinod Pathak,however,said,as a precautionary measure,the batch of vaccines of DPT numbered 14037B09,of oral polio vaccine numbered PV1002265 and of hepatitis numbered 51AD 10010 had been sealed altogether and the samples of these vaccines had been sent to Central Research Institute (CRI),Kasauli for examination.
