Infiltration bid foiled along LoC in Poonch

Army troops foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir late Wednesday night.

A group of militants were spotted by the troops near a nallah area close to the LoC in Balakote belt of Poonch sector and troops challenged them to stop,officials said.

There was exchange of fire,they said,adding the militants escaped amid cover fire from across the border.

There was no loss of life or damage to property in the firing,they said.
