The INIFD institute has now become the ‘official knowledge partner’ to the country’s biggest fashion event Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) for the next four seasons starting next month. Not only this, as many as 20 students from all 180 INIFD centres all over the country would be able to showcase their creations in the LFW starting in March 2010.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, the INIFD management said that it was the biggest achievement for the INIFD which had been started with one centre and now has taken fashion education to masses by opening centres from metros to small towns, may be it Dubai or Delhi or Mumbai or Moga.
The INIFD announced that the Lakme Fashion Week in collaboration with INIFD would be organising an exclusive workshop every season one month prior to the Lakme Fashion Week at Mumbai to enhance the skills of different sections involved in promoting Fashion in India and this year an exclusive workshop for media will be organised on August 27 at Mumbai where top international media persons involved in covering fashion will share their experience with their Indian counterparts.
