The INLD, led by Abhay Chautala, on Friday held public meetings in the citadels of their arch rivals. Abhay, accompanied by senior party leaders, first addressed a public meeting in Haryana Janhit Congress chief Kuldeep Bishnoi's constituency of Hisar, followed by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's home district of Rohtak.

At both places, the party accused the Congress government of having falsely implicated Om Prakash Chautala, Ajay Chautala and other INLD leaders in the JBT scam.

"INLD has not been punished for recruiting JBT teachers but for raising voice against corruption. At the behest of Sonia Gandhi, Congress, in an effort to save its government, misused CBI and sent INLD leaders to jail. The Congress has again proposed to keep CBI out of the purview of Lokpal, which is nothing but proof that it will keep on using CBI against all who raise voice against corruption," Abhay said while addressing large crowds both in Hisar and Rohtak.

Speaking on the CBI court's judgment in the JBT scam, Abhay said: "It has been proved in the judgment that no money exchanged hands and no specific district was favoured in the recruitments. Congress played this game only after INLD exposed land scams involving Robert Vadra and other Congress leaders. After this, Bhupinder Singh Hooda pitched in to save Robert Vadra and misused the CBI and got INLD leaders punished."

While challenging Hooda, Abhay said in Rohtak: "We are ready to face Bhupinder Singh Hooda for a debate on this issue. If Hooda can prove that he did not have any role to play in sending INLD leaders to jail then we will hold ourselves responsible and leave politics forever."
